Technologist. Entrepreneur. Author. I built Ghostwriter Pro because I had a book in my head for 25 years — and finally had the tool to write it.

The Background

I helped build industries you use every day.

My career has been spent at the frontier of marketing technology. I was part of the teams that built the early infrastructure for email marketing and digital advertising — industries that didn't really exist before we created them.

These days, I apply those same skills at a different scale: helping small, local businesses compete through smart use of marketing and technology. The tools have changed. The fundamentals haven't.

The Problem I Solved

I had a novel in my head for 25 years.

A fiction trilogy. Characters, worlds, plots — fully formed in my mind. I just never had the time to write it. I thought about writing it myself (which meant locking myself in my office on weekends, which never happened). I looked at hiring ghostwriters. The quotes came back at $30,000 and up, and the timelines stretched to months.

So the book stayed in my head. For 25 years.

Then AI changed. I'd been using Claude heavily for business work, and I realized the technology had reached a point where it could hold a complex creative vision and help execute it. I built out the universe in detail, fed everything into Claude, and got to work.

I wrote the entire trilogy in about three weeks.

The Science Fiction trilogy is now being released on Substack. If you want to follow that journey — and maybe see what Ghostwriter Pro can produce — you can read along at aldrichassemer.substack.com.

"I wrote a trilogy I'd been planning for 25 years. Then a business book. Both in weeks, not years. That's when I knew other people needed this."

— Jeff Hassemer, Founder of Ghostwriter Pro

Why I Built This

Then I wrote a business book my clients needed. And realized this had to exist.

After finishing the trilogy, I turned to my clients. AI was reshaping marketing faster than most small businesses could keep up with, and they needed a clear, practical guide to navigate it. So I wrote Marketing in the Age of AI — not a book I'd been sitting on for years, but one that needed to be written right now, for the people I was already helping. The same process worked just as well for non-fiction. Same speed. Same quality. Same feeling of "how did I do this so fast?"

When I stepped back and looked at what I had — two completed books, a proven process, a Claude plugin I'd refined over dozens of writing sessions — I thought about everyone else still where I was. The expert with ideas but no time. The entrepreneur who needs a book to build credibility. The person who has been saying "I should write a book" for a decade.

Ghostwriter Pro is the system I wish I'd had the first time. It's not a template. It's not a prompt list. It's a fully structured Claude plugin that guides you through every stage of writing a book — and keeps your voice throughout.
